How many times have you tried natural or aluminum free deodorants and been disappointed? Same here! One day during my “clean products swap” journey I came across a blog written by my Lemongrass Spa consultant about this subject. Turns out, there’s a process to making the natural deodorant switch and it works!!

Did you know that sweat doesn’t smell? Underarm odor comes from the bacteria on our skin that flourish in the moist and warm environment. Add to that the synthetic deodorants we’re using clog pores and trap toxins.

What I learned: Be patient. It can take several weeks for your pits to detox once you’ve made the switch. If you feel like it’s not working, hang in there. During this period you may have to reapply deodorant more than once each day and you may also notice a little redness or itchiness in your armpits. To help this process drink plenty of water to flush out toxins, wear shirts that are made of breathable fabrics, and cleanse the area daily.

I found that cleansing the area in the morning with a Tea Tree Bar Soap and at night with a Charcoal Detoxifying Bar Soap helped to speed up the transition process. I now use less deodorant than I used to use and don’t notice being sweaty as much – even in the summertime.

If you would like to make this transition too and need some suggestions, let me know, I would love to help! If you want to try what I did here is the link below:

In this trio you get the Lavender Magnesium Deodorant, the Tea Tree Bar Soap, and the Detoxifying Charcoal Bar Soap.
